Here are a few things you can do to keep your home and garden in tip-top shape this Winter:

• Move furniture around to change the foot traffic areas in rooms helping save wear and tear on carpets.
• Have your heating and cooling systems professionally inspected.  Refer to our section “Caring for Your Home”
• Test, clean and replace batteries in smoke detectors.
• Lubricate interior door hinges.
• Inspect shower and tub doors for proper fit.  
• Have your roof inspected.
• Gradually turn up under floor heating
• If in a snow prone area check the snow straps are secured.
• Clean out leaves and dirt from gutters – consider fitting spouting or gutter mesh when close to trees.
