Stonewood Homes offer a large selection of customisable plans which feature brilliant use of space, superior liveability and eye-catching street appeal - yet represent superb value for money. Many have aready been regional and national award winners.
Because choosing a house plan will be the biggest decision you make in the home building process, we suggest you take the time to answer as many of these questions as possible - this will help clarify the ideal home for you and your family.
The Section
Is the section large enough for the size of home you want? Is it suitable for a two-storey, or how will your single-storey home fit in if there are two-storey homes all around? Which side should receive the most sun?
The Floor Plan
How many rooms would you like? How many bedrooms do you really need (would the extra space of a spare room be better in the living areas)? Can the study double as the spare room? How many dining spaces would you like?
In a two-storey house, where will the master bedroom be - upstairs or down, morning or evening sun? How many basins in the ensuite, what about a bath, maybe a spa bath? Will the children's bathroom contain a toilet, or would that be separate? What about a powder room for guests? Would you like to free up more space for living by putting the laundry in the garage?
Room by Room
How much wall space do you need? In the kitchen, do you want a separate wall oven or the extra bench space underbench oven offers? How important is a walk-in pantry - would a wall cupboard suit better? What form of heating do you prefer? How about a gas fire in the sitting or living room for ambience? Two car garage or three (don't forget the jet-ski and the kid's bikes)? Should the garage door face, or be at right angles from, the street?
